About The Hotel Bus
Every day we go to new places around Iceland experiencing everything from the most beautiful Icelandic waterfalls to a “glacial lagoon”.
In the evening, we will stop at campsites, etc., where you will have the opportunity of taking a shower and socialize with each other during a good dinner before going to bed.
Day 1 – The Golden Circle
The tour consists of the magnificent sights of Thingvellir, Gullfoss, and Geysir in South Iceland.
– Gullfoss, the most beautiful waterfall in Iceland.
– National park Þingvellir (pronounce Thingvellir).
– The famous Geysir and geothermic area.
– The amazing waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss.
Day 2 – Dyrholaey, Black Beach and Skaftafell
After breakfast, we go to the dramatic black sand beach of Reynisfjara. Dyrholaey is the hometown for many different arts of sea birds such as LUNDI. From Reynisfjara, we continue our journey towards the east through enchanting lava fields and desert glacier sands.
We arrive at the national park Skaftafell in the afternoon where we will walk to the waterfall Svartifoss and explore the beautiful landscape of Skaftafell national park.
Day 3 – The Glacier Lagoon and the east coast
Vatnajökull glacier dominates the area. Svinafellsjökull and the magnificent Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon is our next stop. Sometimes seals can be spotted in the lagoon.
This area is the oldest in Iceland; the cliffs are between 16 and 20 million years old. At last, we visit the capital city of the east coast Egilsstadir.

Day 4 – Hallormstadur, Dettifoss, Asbyrgi and Húsavik
We explore the area around Hallormstaðaskogur. The story about the mystery of Lagarfljots worm is our version of Nessie, the monster of Loch Ness. We visit Hengifoss, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland.
We are going to visit Asbyrgi and walk in Sleipnir horse shoe among the cliffs. At last, we go to Húsavik and enjoy the midnight sun.
Highlights: Lagarfljót, Hengifoss, Dettifoss, Asbyrgi, Húsavik
Day 5 – Myvatn, Godafoss and Akureyri
Today we are going to explore the nature reserve of Lake Myvatn and its unique surroundings. Black rivers and bubbling pools of sulfuric mud cut through a landscape that is rich of colourful minerals.
We will stop at Myvatn nature bath and stress off. At last, we visit Krafla and before going to Godafoss Waterfall. We will end the day in Iceland’s second largest town, Akureyri
Day 6 – Akureyri, Skagafjördur, Borgarfjördur og Reykjavik
We start our last day by driving towards Reykjavik. After crossing Holtavorduheidi, we turn off the main road and visit several sights in the Borgarfjördur Area.
From Reykholt we proceed to Deildartunguhver, the largest hot spring in the world, the beautiful Hraunfossar and Barnafossar Waterfalls in Borgarfjördur.
